“true communism has never been tried”

No, true communism has never been accomplished. It is a historical precedent we have yet to reach. I see a lot of comments on here mocking communism, suggesting we “fix” capitalism rather than end it. But as miserable as the USA is with their near-fascist state of end stage capitalism, countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Norway… these countries are better with their support of the people (such as healthcare) but they still have their issues and therefore a long way to go. All in all, I guess I am promoting more of an open mind for the members of this sub, whether they are leftists, anarchists, centrists, liberals, or even right-wingers who are fed up with the abuses of capitalism. (Did you know the US South used to embrace socialism? All of the US did in the form of strong unions and the promotion of worker's rights and welfare…

All in all, I guess I am promoting more of an open mind for the members of this sub, whether they are leftists, anarchists, centrists, liberals, or even right-wingers who are fed up with the abuses of capitalism.

(Did you know the US South used to embrace socialism? All of the US did in the form of strong unions and the promotion of worker's rights and welfare which created a social safety net/foundation for prosperity.)
