Since I started my job I was honest with them that I would be taking time off for a surgery well it’s now that time. I request 11 work days which was two weeks. Our company has always said “unlimited time off” so wasn’t I shocked when I was told I could take up 10 days but not 11 despite it being for a fucking surgery. I asked them to site the company policy that states I can only take up to 10 days including medical needs. I am beyond livid – I know the entire reason they are saying I can’t take the time because I am one of 3 people that can do my job fully and two of them are getting promoted right after my surgery. When will businesses realize they won’t get far with this bullshit? Needless to say I’ll be getting my resume to a head hunter and interviewing while I’m recovering – Fuck this corporate greed.
