Facing a deliemma…
I am currently “allowed” to work hybrid, but have been doing full remote. Debating getting another remote job and keeping my current job as remote without telling my managers to double up on the $$. I am not sure if I should because I was raised to be an “honest do gooder” (i.e. work hard and you will be successful….you know the shit we are all fed as kids) but I'm also kinda over this corporate shit. Just want to know, what would you do in my situation? Would you ask to be classed as full remote or just keep on trucking with not going in?
Some background:
I work in finance for a large and terrible company. Low pay, shitty culture and lots of unecessary drama. The regularly lie to new employees and have extreme turnover. My mangers and the rest of my department is some 2000km away from my location but they expect me to go into an office with an entirely different department (call center) to sit at a desk to work with “my team”. Everything I do is independent based (invoicing and calculations mostly). Some days I get my work done in 2 to 4 hours tops.
Thanks for any opinions or feedback!
