Who decided on this!? What the hell!? I had to do a bunch of busy work on the weekend and now it's late evening on a sunday and I just realized I spent my entire weekend not relaxing or recharging. Who decided on this two days off thing? Did they forget that most people still have other duties to take care of OUTSIDE work?
This is so dumb. Because I'm now burnt out and won't be as effective of a worker. Burnt out workers ain't really in the best shape to be “productive”. Why do we insist upon a schedule that renders so many people perpetually burnt out? A burnt out worker is not a good investment. Why not instead lower the hours we work or give us an extra day to recover.
This is horrible…. Just this perpetual cycle of never having enough time to recover so you're just burnt out indefinitely. It's already been proven that the 3 day weekend is superior in every way so what are we waiting for? What the hell is this madness.
It's like people are insane. So many people just delude themselves with this “im moving on up” or “im on muh hustle” crap when all they're moving up in are the chances they will die from a heart attack due to their crazy work schedules. People are really out here bragging about how shit their work situation is.
“Oh I work 80 hours a week!”
“Oh I only sleep 4 hours a night!”
What a bunch of masochists.
