I was getting an Uber home from where I work (at a hospital) and it was taking for ever, so I figured maybe drivers don’t want to pick up sick people especially at the risk of getting someone with covid
Mentioned this to the driver and he said that no it’s because “young people don’t want to work these days, they want to live on the dole [australian term for welfare] and play video games all day.” ((Fuck i’d love that life thanks))
I sort of just moaned trying to not start an argument cause I mean I’m in his car lol
Later he mentioned how he “works 70 hours and gets paid for 40”
Unsure how anyone can acknowledge horrible working conditions and also sledge anyone who would dare not accept those horrible conditions. Guy was about 70 of course …
