Hi all, this is primarily a thread for anyone from the UK as thats where Im from.
I hate my job, im a call centre worker for a company called Connect Assist based in the UK. I used to be a firefighter for 10 years aswell as working for HMRC at the time. I have some questions basically because there are a few issues im not really sure on.
Overtime. Basically this is really inconsistent, and i get different answers by different people. I worked 7 hours 15 mins this month, but only for paid for 7, i know this may seem nitpicky, but im fed up of being put down as late if im a minute over my shift time and yet im working over the time my shift ends and im not even being paid for it. There is no direct payroll team I can talk to and its like trying to get blood out of a stone asking useless managers on where I go to enquire about my pay. Is there a rule on that i have to work atleast half hour to get paid if i go over ? Whats stopping me from putting the phone down the exact minute i finish ?
I have many many issues with this place, but the pay issues are really getting on my nerves.
