We work for a landscaping and grounds maintenance company whose clients are multi-billion dollar companies, some of the biggest companies in the world, in fact. To be honest, it's a good company and I love my job. But we deserve more. Our employee is ignoring OSHA safety standards regarding heat related illness. Our equipment and fleet is damaged and unsafe. People get injured because the company provides zero training before having them operate dangerous equipment. There are other issues also but what Im here for is advice on which union we need to contact. I did contact IWW, but their political overtones are going to stand in the way of gaining support from a good number of my coworkers. Which other Unions should I look into contacting?
