I just recently started my first “big girl” job, and they are now rolling out a bunch of new rules as of today. During todays meeting I was informed that I will no longer get paid for the required 15 minutes before my shift, and the required 15 minutes after my shift that is used for cleaning/prepping our work areas. Im just wondering what the legality of this is? I feel it’s definitely unfair to expect me to work for 30 minutes every day for free. It may not seem like a lot but those wages are definitely going to add up. Does anyone know about the law on this and can help me? For reference I am in Arizona. Thank you
