UPDATE: My company sent me a counter offer. I need your help rejecting it.

For those of you wanting an update on my original post, here it is. To summarize, I planned to reject the counter off my current company was going to give me regardless of what it was but I wanted to see what it was to really see how valuable I am in their eyes. Here's the breakdown of two offers side by side to make things more clear: New company offer – 30% increase, different industry that I have no experience in other than the workflow and general construction experience. Current company counter offer – 22% increase plus some other clerical bullshit like title changes and promotions but no explanation as to what my new responsibilities or workload would actually be. For those of you wanting an update on my original post, here it is.

To summarize, I planned to reject the counter off my current company was going to give me regardless of what it was but I wanted to see what it was to really see how valuable I am in their eyes.

Here's the breakdown of two offers side by side to make things more clear:

New company offer – 30% increase, different industry that I have no experience in other than the workflow and general construction experience.

Current company counter offer – 22% increase plus some other clerical bullshit like title changes and promotions but no explanation as to what my new responsibilities or workload would actually be.

The counter offer is below market for where I live, my experience and qualifications (7+ years), and the fact that I have my Professional Engineering license. Here's what I have drafted for a rejection:

“Unfortunately I will be declining this counter offer. After further review, this is lower than the offer at this new company and is still below market value for my current qualifications. It does not seem that COMPANY and I will come to a mutual agreement on future plans and expectations. Let me know how we should handle the next week of handover so that whoever takes over for me is set up for success.”

Alright Reddit, do your thing! Any suggestions on the wording? Or how would you respond differently? I'm open to suggestions. I have until the end of the day on Friday to respond.
