Update My daughter was told 3 weeks ago she was getting a raise instead was paid .50 less per hour!

A couple of weeks ago I posted about the district manager and how awful she treated the employees; HR contacted her after tweeting about it and they insured us that it was being escalated to upper management and it would not happen again. Well today my daughter gets her paycheck after having been told three weeks ago that she was getting a pay increase to $13.50 from the base pay of $10. Mind you she is an assistant manager at 18 years old and the longest employee in the store at 11 months! She has been running the store while they looked for a new store manager and training employees all while making the same base pay that the new hires make which is why she asked for a pay increase three months ago they finally told her this month that she was getting it, well today she gets her…

Well today my daughter gets her paycheck after having been told three weeks ago that she was getting a pay increase to $13.50 from the base pay of $10. Mind you she is an assistant manager at 18 years old and the longest employee in the store at 11 months! She has been running the store while they looked for a new store manager and training employees all while making the same base pay that the new hires make which is why she asked for a pay increase three months ago they finally told her this month that she was getting it, well today she gets her paycheck and not only did she not get her pay increase, she was actually being paid 9.50 an hour! So less than the starting pay they pay they are paying new employees! She called HR and they tried to blow her off with the Oh your manager has to handle this. Well her Manager is leaving the store in five days so I’m sure she really could care less and did not answer her phone calls.
So we called back talk to HR and explained to them that she has been training employees working nonstop, working when people are out with Covid (4 times) and now she’s doing all of this for $9.50 then the girl informed her oh I don’t see anything in the records that says you were supposed to be making $13.50 an hour that has to be put in by a district manager. Then proceeded to say it says here that you only make $9 an hour to which my daughter replied that doesn’t make any sense, why would I be making less per hour then the new hires that I’m training? If you can’t get this resolved today then you can consider this my two weeks notice and I don’t know who’s going to run the store after the fifth when your brand new store manager is no longer there. Then my daughter asked to speak to a supervisor and then the young lady said oh I can open the case for you we’re going to get this resolved for you if you were told you’re making $13.50 an hour we’re going to contact your district manager and make sure that you get paid retroactively for what you were promised.
Then my daughter called her store manager on my phone and she the store manager answered and said oh I don’t know what happened I don’t know why that happened and was giggling and saying I am so sorry that really sucks. I was proud of my daughter because she kept a very straight professional tone and said OK I’d like the district manager‘s phone number and her bosses phone number, the manager gave those numbers to her and my daughter called the district manager and explain the situation to her and advised her the same thing.
They promised her that this would be resolved today and that they would be cutting her a check soon. Basically once she gets that check for her backpay she’s quitting.

This is nonsense they are really out here just expecting people to work for peanuts and treating them like crap at the same time! My daughter is lucky because she lives at home could you imagine people who are trying to pay rent and electricity and buy groceries this is unfair and unethical.
