Link to post: My new job ignored my request for a week off after confirming it : antiwork (reddit.com)
Basically I got my payslip today but it was attached to an email about taking leave and how I needed to fill out paperwork which had to be approved by a restaurant manager in order for my leave to take place. This was never brought up when I verbally told one of the managers that I was going need a week off (or during any of the three times that I brought up needing to be away). What was also really odd was that the manager told me that my leave would be fine, he even told another one of our co-workers that I'd be taking a week off.
I'm not exactly sure what to do in this situation or if there's anything I can do. I have the Payroll Office’s email address and mailing address but I highly doubt that they'll be able to do anything, plus would dobbing in on my manager do anything anyways? (considering they’re definitely on the same side?)
Should I just leave it and ghost the job, or should I speak up and either get no response or risk losing the job I give 0 shits about?
