update to leaving company

Was brought into boss office with a frantic look on his face. Recently I put in my notice about leaving company for 35%pay increase and much much better benefit package. His response today was what would get you to stay? Another week Vaca? He said he can't give me pay I'm being offered and but didn't give me a number of what he could give me. If all goes well I'd be making what I was offered in a year and a half a current employer. But I stated it would be hard to stay for anything less since I can go make that money now and have so much better benefits for my family. He said they are addressing it but won't be out to January. I then stated alot of the “old timers” got hooked on the what ifs and empty promises but im not gonna fall for it. So I'm pretty sure he said he contacted so way ups that answer to the ceo about this issue. I might not stay trying to make it better for the other new people in the company to be treated right moving forward.
