I'm losing my bloody mind here.
I was told recently that there would soon be a promotion for me if I so choose, or I can stay in my position now. However, I am VERY underpaid for what I do now, and went to reddit to ask for advice because I assumed I was not paid well because I do not have a GED.
WELL. I've been with this company for 3 1/2 years. I make $16. There's a male hired in a lower position than me in DEC. He also has no GED. And he's paid $17. No sense. I've been livid since I found out.
My “new position.” Was bumped to June…. I'm supposed to take on most of my boss' responsibilities. And she was telling me how unfairly she was treated and singled out for “being a woman.” “You'll have to work twice as hard, and be paid less. Cover your butt, and just expect to make less that everyone.” She works here 11 hours a day… I do NOT want this position…
Guess what, it was bumped to 9 DAYS FROM NOW. I was told that I'll be thrown into the position and I'm expected to sink or swim….
I am freaking out… I applied to another job and it sounds awesome, I want it so bad but I haven't gotten a call back yet… I need out of this gd place so bad.
Also, if that wasn't good enough, I caught a man in the women's bathroom and HR has done nothing. Because we're so short staffed, the guy gets away with a slap on the wrist.
Excuse my language. I'm having a full panic attack from the stress and ptsd flash backs.
I need a new job so. Soso bad..
