It’s happened to me at every job I’ve worked at. I call out, manager is livid. The reason I call out shouldn’t matter, I’m entitled to my own time and I will not be held against my will… but I’ve even received a write up once after I was literally taken away in an ambulance for passing out from the pain of a miscarriage. Why can’t I take a day off? Do you want me to come in and get everyone else sick? Sheeeesh.
