I work for the Post Office as a carrier. We had to deliver packages today. Finished around 2pm. It's in our contract to be able to throw packages. Returned to office expecting to be sent home so I could spend time with my family on Easter. Instead instructed to throw packages for an indeterminate amount of time. Threw packages for about 30 minutes. Got frustrated, told my supervisor that it was bs and left. I've got an 'investigative interview' tomorrow in which the union will be present.
The job is a lot of manual labor and less actually carrying mail because I'm lowest on the totem pole but I really like this kind of work and I like how simple it all is.
Idk if I try to keep my job and try to find an opportunity to change things because union or if I should just say fuck it and find something else.
