Walked Out Today after witnessing monstrosity in the dish sink

So this has been building on me for a long time but today was the last nail in the coffin. I work for a Panera about 4-5 days a week while also going to school for Mechanical Engineering (which is already taxing enough). They usually give me a lot more than they should when it comes to responsibilities and duties but as of late I feel like they have been taking more and more advantage of my hard work ethic. I always try to be a hard worker wherever I am and I pride myself of that but fuck, after gaining more self realization/respect this past month I’ve noticed they aren’t worth my best since they are paying me their worst(I ask for raises/promotions they are always procrastinated and put aside). Keeping in mind most of our employees are teenagers in high school I do not expect them to do…

Keeping in mind most of our employees are teenagers in high school I do not expect them to do a lot since well you know, they are still kids. What’s fucked up is the managers who are in their 30’s are never to be found when there is a rush or a shit ton of cleaning responsibilities.

Today I go in and find out that I’m scheduled on dish only to arrive to a mountain of dishes. I’m not over exaggerating, I’m 6’5” and this fucking pile was taller than me! Usually dish isn’t that bad even if it’s a one person position especially on some of the busier day’s I manage. But what really pissed me off was that when I asked a coworker about why it was so huge she told me that her and others were trying to help but managers and team leads intervened and told them not to touch a single thing. The amount of disrespect finally made me say fuck it.

Soon after I asked the closest manager what I was scheduled for. They said dish, I said fuck that and walked out.

Thought y’all would appreciate this, rant over.
