Walmart is the worst

About 10 years ago, I took a job at Walmart to get me through the winter. Landscaping was my rest of the year job and I didn't want to plow snow due that year due to the unpredictable schedule. I was working overnight stocking shelves. As you can imagine, December was insanely busy and we rarely could get our work done on time yet the manager insisted on having a 15-20 minute pointless meeting every night in the middle of our work around 5am. The most laughable experience I had, was on NYE. I volunteered to work as I didn't have plans and was interested in the holiday pay. There were maybe 6 of us working and 1 manager. At the beginning of the shift, the manager says “Hey thanks for working on NYE, let's all meet at this spot at 11:55pm and we will have some treats and ring…

OK, cool. A bit of incentive and a nice touch.

11:55 rolls around and we come to find out the treats are precisely 1 half can of off brand soda (those mini cans I think 175ml) and 1 of those tiny 1-2 bite cupcakes. Gee, thanks Walmart! I almost walked out on the spot (waited another week).
