Wanting to Leave My Job Soon

I am in the healthcare industry (outpatient clinic) and been with my company for over two years. I started well when I first came, but after the pandemic and change of management began everything is starting to go downhill. My mental health has declined as I would work my ass off to prove my worth as a “valuable” team member. However, when I needed the support the only support I would get has to benefit the comapny first (i.e. reducing appointment slots, order more supplies than dictated by company logistics). Then without regard to my mental health, I would end up experiencing: Problematic Patients: not wanting to follow company policy and constantly threaten litigation which I have to be stuck them for 20+ minutes to get them to leave. Then without regard to my mental health, I would end up experiencing:

  1. Problematic Patients: not wanting to follow company policy and constantly threaten litigation which I have to be stuck them for 20+ minutes to get them to leave. My supervisor would look into my reports of such incidences, but never recieved reassurance.

  2. Absent Management: My coworkers and I never see our manager and when we need assistance we can only advocate ourselves via our supervisor.

  3. High Turnover Rates: I have already seen 7 of my coworkers leave (and another fired) due to mismanagement and lack of support to retain new employees. This is why we are understaffed.

  4. Burn-Out: It is just me and my co-worker handling one site which often gets 65-75 patients on average. 90 patients on a busy day. Whereas, there is another site that has 4 people on site and gets 100 patients per day. We havr been trying to get a thrid employee on my site but that keeps on being delayed due to a new appointment system being implemented. I keep on having to work overtime during the weekends

  5. New Appointment System: My region was supposed to start last year which is supposed to reduce work and overwhleming patient flow, but got delayed because management got too many complaints. By the time it actually comes around, the appointment system is actually designed to stuff more patients into tight time slots. We would get 2X more patients and work prior to what we have now and pre-pandemic levels.

  6. Personal Needs Come Last: My request for doctor's appointment got rejected because understaffed. I have expressed my decline in mental health the reflection review for my supervisor to see. No response. I had a medical emergency for my pet of 16 years and was almost denied time off due to being understaffed until my husband stepped in. I am currently greving since my pet now passed away, but need to come in so that I wont piss them off again. I am tired already had enough..

Or am I overreacting?… I will talk to my therapist to see if I am making the right decision to leave even with no plan in place…
