I work at a grocery store and last night I started feeling a slight sore throat and thought I could just sleep it off until work. The next morning I was feeling like hot shit and I wanted to go get tested (just in case). I woke up around an hour before my shift as I always do but since I wasn’t feeling well I called my manager and let him know the issue and I wasn’t gonna be able to show up today. He got really pissy and said I was supposed to do stuff like this 4 hours before my shift and I didn’t come sick yesterday how am I suddenly sick. I just feel really bad now and wish I could go work but I’m actually feeling like hot garbage and I just can’t. I usually put my alarm for an hour before since I get ready pretty fast and I live super close to the store. Was I being a dick calling in an hour before my shift?
