I was hired to work for Subway when I was a month away from turning 16. Since then I worked for about 6 months. I work in California if that’s something worth mentioning. I took on about 24 hours of work every week. I worked from Friday to Monday. Friday and Monday being shifts of 4 hours while Saturday and Sunday were full 8 hour shifts. I would tend to work more than the 8 hours on the weekend due to getting there early to setup before opening, and staying later to clean up after closing. Whenever I would work, I would work alone. I got no brakes, no lunch brakes, and wouldn’t be paid 1.5x for overtime. Occasionally I would close for about 5 minutes but simply to use the bathroom. Am I entitled to any recompensation? Since it was my very first job I did not know much about how things worked until I quit to another job. I quit about 2 months ago. Am I too late to do anything?
