We should get paid for interviews

I have hated my day job for longer than I care to admit. A friend mentioned the theater she works at is desperately seeking ushers. Better pay for more interesting work, plus she swore most of the shifts were at night so I could keep my current gig and save more. Naturally I applied immediately. They ask me to come in during my day job shift twice, once for an interview and once for training. It's almost impossible to get coverage and now I need to find it twice for the promise of another job. For the promise of another job, I'm meant to give up $180. I'm trying to schedule the interview/training out side of my work schedule but who knows?
