I enjoy working. I don't mind it.
What I DO mind is the corporation that I work for, that made 90+ billion dollars in sales last year, has the gall and audacity to tell us that they can't afford to give us raises, yet they continue to hire new people in at higher rates, they continue to drive away seasoned, good workers with their micromanaging, and they are genuinely confused as to why they can't retain anyone.
I am so fucking tired of busting ass and only getting shit on because of it.
“Oh we can't afford that”. “We work for a Fortune 50 company, they should be grateful”. “I will never pay someone over 15 dollars an hour”.
Like.
BRO. COME ON.
we're not asking for yachts or mansions or free stuff, I just want to be able to afford a two bedroom apartment and not starve because of how little I make compared to the cost of living.
