My company finally came after me after firing 10+ employees over the course of the year from our golden month.
They sell a niche product that did well during covid, and made 5x what they usually make in the span of a few months.
So they hired people, everything was dandy. I was placed on the engineering team to develop products.
They made silly request for said products, sold prototypes and moved to a new facility in a city away losing some employees. So i took over engineering and production and ran their IT infrastructure.
Today they let me go because “money is tight” even though they forgot they gave me access to analytics.
Sales have bottom out and returned to pre pandemic levels and they spent money on google homes across the facility to play music.
They’re down to a skeleton crew and i wish my coworkers the best.
I made enough supplies and for my coworkers to give them work. I hope the internet stays up because the moment it fails they have no clue how to configure the router and will switch to google home mesh network.
