My husband was fired for being one (1) minute late. I'm 5½ months pregnant and was covered by his insurance through work. I'm currently insulin-reliant (GDM), and without the insurance, we can't afford it. The reason he was a minute late? I blacked out trying to help him get our toddler loaded up for daycare, and he was trying to make sure I was safe enough for him to leave. I work for the same company, and can't quit, because absolutely nowhere is willing to hire a pregnant welder. How do companies expect employees to have any loyalty when they treat them like this?!?
