Hi all! I'm looking to see what the antiwork hivemind has to say about work as a high school student. I work with high school students for my job, and a lot of students are looking into getting a summer job. I want to be able to give them relevant tips and workers' rights to keep in mind as the go through the job search process. Some thoughts I already had include:
-How to leverage the interview process to see if the job will be a good fit.
-Rights around being able to discuss wages.
-Rights around quitting versus being fired and unemployment.
-Navigating HR and documenting conversations.
-Working in an “at will” state.
-Benefits of union jobs versus non-union jobs.
Thanks everyone!
