So I live in California where labor laws are semi decent. My last employer (pre Covid) was horrible in many ways.
I ended up suing him in a very open/shut case. I got awarded money for pain and suffering and lost wages.
I’m in my 30s and never thought I would have this kind of money available to me. It is enough for a large down payment on a house.
But there are so many things that are happening right now, it’s not a good time to buy a house! Inflation is insane. Civil war is a real possibility…
What even is the point of having this money if I can’t build a future with it. My retirement fund has lost money in the last year. Honestly… what should I do with this much cash?
