I have my meeting about my resignation today. I manage major systems for a small company that is contracted with one of the largest companies in its industries. I manage multiple systems for them with a bachelors degree and am getting paid 20$ an hour. I got an offer that is 110% my current rate and submitted a 1 week resignation. Now my current company is scrambling and wants me to train someone my last week. I’m an at will employee, and even tho I manage major system, I don’t feel like coming in M-F 8-5 for 20$ an hour this last week. If I quit can they legally do anything to me? I checked the handbook and my offer letter and nothing says I have to give a notice to them. It just says I’m an at will employee? Any answers are appreciated!
