After gaining some experience in my field I decided it was time to shop around for a new employer. Holy fuck the requirements on Indeed for jobs that pay at least 50k a year are ridiculous. “Must have at least 5 years of specialized training. Must have BA degree. Skilled and proficient in X” all this for 50k a year which is no longer a lot of money, or even livable in most cities. Yet they act like its a six figure position with great benefits/ What are employers thinking?
