What would be an appropriate wage for servers if tipping culture vanished?
How much do servers get paid in places where they aren’t relying on tips? (Other countries, various establishments etc.)
People are always talking about “just pay the staff a normal wage,” but what would that wage be & would it be?
I have served in a three very different establishments (beer server for leagues, family restaurant & a brewery) & I have a set minimum that varies for each- that I aim to average hourly to be satisfied. I am curious to see how much that rate differs from what others suggest as server should be paid if hourly.
