The reason I ask this is because I think the US would do anything to protect its superpower status. Anything that might lead to an economic decline due to people dropping out of the labor force would be fiercely attacked. But the thing is that the west in general is filled with democracy, and we are a long long ways away from being able to automate most jobs away, but it’s not like the US could turn full authoritarian and force people to work. So my question is what methods would the US employ to get people back to work?
