When do we start doxing our toxic managers?

I work for a toxic manager, in an already overly toxic work environment (banking), and one of my co-workers is my SO’s sister. She is relatively newer and still learning the ropes, so I offer assistance to be sure she is not falling behind, especially if I know one of us will be taking time off. We work in mortgage managing a team of loan officers and one day I ask one of the old guys on her team to make a couple of calls when he had time as he had some stuff nearing deadlines. He responded by calling me “Hitler” and saying he would get to it, and then proceeded to berate my co-worker over the next week during their one on one meetings. So, naturally she did not feel comfortable working with him and confronted our manager (who is like this loan officers best friend) and asked…

So, naturally she did not feel comfortable working with him and confronted our manager (who is like this loan officers best friend) and asked for him to be moved elsewhere. She was told she was not being firm with boundaries and she has to learn to deal with him.

Fast forward about a week later, all of a sudden she is getting calls from HR digging through her work history asking questions about previous employers at random. And I discovered via some of our reporting that some statistics that directly affect my APOs were being negatively skewed by “accident”. These managers clearly underestimate the technical knowledge of millennials and I called them out on their BS saying I know I was being targeted. My manager had no response except to say this sounds like a problem for HR.

I know in most cases the managers hands are tied, and they are forced to bow to their corporate overlords and take it with a smile, but they have no right to take it out on us. I know I am not alone on this one, so asking for everyone who feels the same as me; when do we start doxing these toxic managers and showing them that we can target them as well. Their faces light up like Christmas trees when they think they have us by the balls, so it is about time we show them that same energy!

TL;DR

My co-worker was being harassed by another employee and was told by our manager to “learn to deal with it”. Shortly after HR was “randomly” digging into her previous employer history and my stats that affect my performance reviews were negatively affected due to “technical errors”.

Sick and tired of these toxic managers taking joy out of harassing their employees, and I think it’s time we start looking into their pasts and see how they like being targeted.
