I have been unemployed for more than 3 years and I am doing pretty good actually. I am not spending a lot of money but I am happy. Once in a while my uncle finds me a job, which is usually not related to my background. I speak decent English, I have experience interning abroad and I have seen great places. Now they want me in a dirty industrial area full of people that I have to compete with in a field I don't even know to get paid terribly. In my country government officers earn 2x more with half effort. There is a huge injustice in Turkey between private and public sector. A high ranked manager gets paid same as a cleaner in the government office. Usually working 8 hours officially (never seen anyone working 8, usually more), one day free (probably a weekday).
My uncle is trying to help me but he is also a bit bitter man. I dont like turning him down since he is trying to find me a job. Today he shared me a contact about this “screw factory”. I am an IT guy. But I will have to suffer the stress of interviewing with an employer and rejecting the job eventually. Everytime my uncle sends a message, my anxieties start to boil. I can suicide and avoid working in a screw factory in the industrial zone.
Why would I be a slave in an industrial zone while government officers get paid 3x my salary only to spend their time on instagram and enjoy their weekends in the beach. This injustice in Turkey is making me mad.
