French people get laughed at for striking a lot which would make them lazy but at the same time people from a lot of countries (US mainly in this sub) complain about not having any social security or pension.
The strikes that have been taking place in France in the last couple years are mainly about defending the welfare system that is being taken down slowly : badly staffed hospital, less unemployment insurance, retirement age postponed…
It's not a critic of this sub in particular but this has been a recurrent joke that I don't get the point of.
