Why I left my job after a promotion

I was going to become a manager- but I decided to quit. My store really sucked. We were shortly understaffed and we had a lot of drama which lead to us losing more people than we were already losing. I accepted the offer to become a manager a couple of months ago, and was excited, but our store got worse. The worst part was our GM, he knew we were severely understaffed but still had high expectations for the night. I felt like I was being used once I accepted the manager position, they had me do things like run errands, pick people up for work and drop them off, etc. and every time my GM saw me he would just tell me I’m “closer” to making more money. He would also text me all the time asking if I could come in, and if I didn’t reply right away, he would call me. The day I decided to leave, I dropped someone off at work and left. I told them I was done. I start my new job this coming Thursday making $7 more an hour 🙂 and I’ll get full time and also be able to work overtime. Wendy’s told us we couldn’t work overtime without permission from our GM or it could be a “violation”. It wasn’t worth $600 every two weeks. I’m 18 and just graduated so I’m trying to ground myself somewhere worth my time.
