Today I just watched one of my coworkers get fired for celebrating their 21st. I work at a summer camp and we live on property. They were just celebrating by having a few drinks in their own home on property, since us counselors are required to live on property. Even though they did not live directly from camp and are in a camp owned house a mile off of the main camp. They were then fired for having alcohol on property, even though just a few months earlier our bosses had a party for all of the workers which involved alcohol so it was never an issue before. They now have one day to pack up and leave, no warning for the first offense, just gone. A few of us had already been preparing to leave and had letters written, but this was truly the final straw.
