I make sure I only apply to the places on indeed that say part time (since I'm still studying) and most of these places who do have me come for an interview once I arrive they either say “oh we are looking for someone to do 40-70+ hours a week. We just put looking for part time on indeed” something like that happened to me earlier this week.
Or you have the ones who say “we'll get back to you in a week if we hire you.” And they never do. And when you call they say “oh we're actually not hiring right now.” When you tell these places you can literally start the same day or next day(since they say on indeed URGENTLY hiring).
I just need to be making money. I left my other job a month ago. The one I'm at right now does not give me an hours and has not trained me(done 2 days there so far).
So why do most of these food/ retail places who are very understaffed(5 or less employees) not actually hire when they have for hiring signs up, and when on indeed they put urgently hiring? I don't get it.
Bc of my school schedule I can literally do 30 hours a week yet these places don't ever respond or when they do all of the above ^ happens. I even only apply to places that are saying “flexible, part time, urgently hiring” etc.. any tips?
