I applied to a lab job. The pay was lower than I expected. Then I saw the exact same job posted on an employment services site ( outside party) for 4 more dollars an hour. I had passed the 1st round of interviews and about to take the 2nd round on Friday. They sent me an email at 2:00 a.m. that they were going a different direction/ or had eliminated the position. Did I just get punished for applying through a service that promised more money?
I'm really hurt I didn't get this job. Just wondering if this was the reason they did this. The withdrawal came a few hours, (a day maybe?) after I applied to the outside source.
