So for starters, I am 17 and I work at a pizza/sandwich joint, it’s a small hole in the wall business, been working there for about 2 years
I get paid 13$ an hour( I live in California ) and I do pretty much everything besides actually making the food, dishes, ringing up customers, putting toppings on pizzas and sandwiches, etc.
I have no benefits, and me and all of my co workers are paid under the table, it’s a very labor intensive job with the kind of equipment we have,I feel drained even after a slow night
The reason I am putting this out is because I want opinions from people other than my family and myself, I’ve kinda suspected for a while that we are paid too little, but none of my coworkers have shown the level same concern as I have, I at least haven’t seen it, and my family tells me to stick with them cause I’ve grown accustomed to the place and it’s convenient since it’s very close to my home, so basically I’ve been second guessing myself for 2 years
What should I do?
