Just got home and threw up like I always do when its hot. Just like 1st thing every morning. Type 1 diabetic union pipefitter. Saved the company working crazy hours covering on call from Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas. I'm honestly surprised I am alive and didn't kill a family while driving at times in the peak heat. Anyway I get home and after my shower/throw up/shower I grabbed the mail. Cobra letter from the union do the company no having enough hours in the winter. 894 a month.
I am quitting as soon as I can to find something not in the heat. I'm gonna die out there. Literally. I refuse to do that for what I make locally. If I go to Kansas I move from 33 to 52 an hour just passing the boarder into the Kansas union. I'm done and at home smoking down to stop myself from hurting others or myself. Tomorrow is a new day all and we will be ok. No matter what do what you need to do for you and yours but understand at the end of the day you want to be in their arms alive not dead in a roof somewhere in this 24hr capitalist nightmare.
