Keeping the company anon for now but if nobody has my money by Monday I could give a fuck I'll come back here wanting all the smoke and I'll bring the department of labor with me lmao
Long story short it's been nearly a month since I started (probably exactly like 3 and a half week) and yesterday I asked where my paycheck was (I've had direct deposit set up from day 1, no direct deposit. Checked the mail.. no check). I'm working for a super mega ultra corporation so like… it's really 0 excuse lmao. It wouldn't be a huge deal if they had to mail me my first check or something but not a soul knows where my money is at all. Not if it's in the mail coming to my house, coming to my boss, not if it's a direct deposit error, nothing. Nobody can tell me.
I confronted them about this and told them they're gonna have to figure out who can tell me where my money is and quick and they really told me to call the corporate line (which isn't even open until Monday?) and in the mean time get this… they can “give me a loan” that I'll essentially pay back I guess when I do get my check? I'm just wondering not only is this legal but what kind of bullshit are they trying to pull on me? I've never had a job say anything like this before.. “Our bad.. so we can't really pay you right now.. but we can give you a little money if you promise to pay it back whenever we do..?”
Anyways yall it's stupid early and I woke up pissed and just kind of wanted to vent. The audacity of these companies nowadays is fucking wild.
