Work for a private ambulance company as an EMT and was taken off my health insurance because I didn’t meet the hour requirements after being out with Covid

Hey guys, just looking for advice on how to combat this. Helpful labor laws information that kind of stuff. I work for a private ambulance service in the state of Illinois. I got Covid and it was pretty bad. Was out for almost a full 2 weeks. When I got back they sent me a letter warning me about my hours and how I need to pick up more. I picked up more shifts and was hitting well over the hours for eligibility. Another 2 weeks pass and they still take me off of it anyways. I’ve called HR twice now to get more information and they aren’t returning my calls. What can I do now? Edit: got a PCR test and immediately informed my employer with photo evidence of it when I initially got symptoms
