I work as a PC Bench Tester (So I though, I’ll get to that later) my main duty is to fix configure and ship out device such as laptops, servers, hand held devices and receiving goods in from customers that rented our kit.
I work in the apple department (which is not what I signed up for) and I have to manage asset that come in and out from the job to make sure that what I’m sending the customers is correct and what I’m receiving back from customer is all there.
There used to be 2 of us who would share the work-load so that we have time to manage the deadlines effectively. Management didn’t like the guy personally so they sacked him. Now it’s just me on my own and I’m now doing two peoples job at once for the same money.
The annoying thing is, because there is so much on my plate, I will make errors in my orders because in between doing the orders, I am also doing other jobs on the side on top of all this my manager would micro-manage and pick on every little error that I make.
I was meant to be doing server engineering….
Why are all jobs like this?
