Work/ life balance is bullshit. It should be life/ work balance!

I was raised with the philosophy of work to live, don't live to work. The phrase “work/ life balance” has always bugged me, because it is backwards. I will work overtime and put my 40 in, but it is to support my life, hobbies and areas of interest. The reason the way it's phrased bugs me, is because it puts the emphasis on work and not on life. I think that this words matter, and the way we arrange them matters; to the point that I feel myself most days that, “I get to go to work,” just to play the mind game with myself, because I have gone through times where I didn't have a job. I love to work, but I work so that I can enjoy the times that I'm not at work!
