Work made us wait till the bell rang for lunch today

I work 56 hours a week. Work starts at 4:30 am and ends at 3 pm; lunch is at 12:30. Working in a big factory, we prep before lunch so we can go to lunch, stopping the machines so we can take our break. We usually stop doing anything 2 minutes before lunch and start our long walk all the way across the facility to the lunch room. Apparently work did not like this, so today, even though we had our machines down and nothing to do, my boss had us stand by our work stations for two minutes as to say “hey look, we are still working.” We could have used those two minutes of doing nothing to walk across the facility to rest and eat, but no. Idk why they need to be stuck up about it. We work hard as it is. If we have nothing to do let us rest. We shouldn't have to expell extra energy just so it looks like we are working.
