My job has cornered me to take a 2-3 day trip out of town in a few weeks. They told me they have already booked me a room before asking me if i could go. I know if i dont go it will look bad. Me and my partner arent really the type of people who leave each other to take work trips, staying at a hotel with all my male coworkers that i barely know would make me uncomfortable and it also cuts into the weekend which i would like to spend with my partner at home.
What is the best way for me to get out if this? They are making it out to be a fun thing but its just an inconvenience to me and travel isnt what i signed up to do for this job.
