how do i tell them a two hour drive for training with no expectation of compensation is ridiculous? (ive been driving forklift for 6 years and they want to train me on a new machine) i already drive 45 minutes to work without traffic (southern california) id be driving almost a whole hour past the building i work at. unfortunately this kind of thing is expected of us and i almost feel like im being dramatic , because at the end of the day its not the company's fault i live that far away. but does anyone else think this is a little fucked? even people who live nearby would have to drive 45 minutes with no gas money from our job , or even the acknowledgment that its not a short drive.
