So I know this sounds whiny af but I'm a nurse's assistant and work at a nursing home. I work 12 hour shifts. And it's like a really nice upscale nursing home so the residents pay a good amount of money per year to live there. After every meal, there's always a lot of food that gets thrown out, but we aren't allowed to take any. When I asked why, they said because the residents are paying for it and it would technically stealing. Which makes no sense because it's gonna get thrown out anyway??? I mean most of the servers there don't care anyway and they will give us a plate, but we just gotta be sneaky and not let management see us eating the food. I can't imagine going to such lengths to not feed your own employees. Especially since it wouldn't cost anything.
