Workaholics ruin it for the rest of us

I don’t understand people who are glued to their emails when they’re on vacation. Do you hate your life that much? Especially at my company with the measly 12 days we get off a year and NO SICK TIME! because it makes those of us who have solid work boundaries look bad. Hell, there’s a girl who’s HOURLY who’s responding to emails right now despite having one day off. I admit it, I’m a clock puncher. I’m in and I’m out. If you have something urgent that comes up in the last 20 minutes of my shift that can wait until tomorrow morning, too bad. Unless I’m really needed to stay I just won’t go out of my way. The one day a week I have to go into the office I’m running out the second I clock out. I’m sorry but I hate these people because they make us look lazy and silly. I’m going to fight to get an additional week of unpaid time off at my review or I’m walking. It’s just not worth it. I can’t fathom wasting my life that way even working on the few days of PTO I get a year.
