Antiwork

Worked one day, at a job I was told was part-time, and am now scheduled for 40 hours a week.

Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. I started a job at a bakery, and was very clear that I was applying for a part-time baking position because I am also attending college- no more than 25-30 hours. They have a scheduling app, so I can see when I work. Originally, it was two days this week and the next, 6am-2pm. But after that first shift, I got my schedule for the next two weeks after, and it’s literally Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm, every week. It starts the week I told them I started school again. Honestly, I’m so confused. Is that even legal? I’m going to be working full time even though they agreed to part time? What do I do?
