I know someone that works for an independent franchise. They work alone on weekends, open to close. 9hrs on Sat, 8hrs on Sun. Because they are alone, they cannot leave. No breaks. If a bathroom break is necessary, they were told to lock the front door, tape a note to it (be back in 5 mins), and unlock it when done. They eat between their duties, if at all. Clocked in the whole time.
